Rule 12
Arrangements related to registration assistant
: (1) For the purpose of registering insurance documents, the board shall coordinate with each local level and appoint a registration assistant at the rate of at least one person in each ward. (2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), in the case of Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal and other organizations of a similar nature, registered assistants can be appointed from the same organization.
(3) The selection process for the appointment of registered assistants shall be as per Schedule-4 and the arrangements regarding the framework of the agreement with them and other conditions and facilities of their services shall be as per Schedule-5.
(4) A person possessing the following qualifications shall be eligible for appointment to the post of Registered Assistant:-
(a) Nepali citizens,
(b) In the case of women health volunteers, they have passed the entrance examination or equivalent and in the case of other persons, they have passed the proficiency certificate level or equivalent from a recognized university.
(5) If the registration assistant does not fulfill the responsibilities assigned to him or if the registration process is started through the insurance management information system, the board can remove him from the responsibility at any time.
(6) If a registered helper has to be removed from responsibility due to non-fulfilment of the responsibilities prescribed under sub-section (5), he shall be given a reasonable opportunity to submit his excuse.
